Best Selling RTS Broken Arrow New DLC Out Now

One year after launch, Broken Arrow is still sporting an impressive 8800 daily player peak! This is made all the more impressive by the fact that its multiplayer scene is often composed of sweaty try-hards and APM gods. If you’re one of the players who main Russia, you’ll be glad to hear about the release of a new $9,99 DLC called Broken Arrow: Russian Guard. This one brings:

  • A new Russian Guard specialization focused on heavy support and powerful anti-air units;
  • 31 new ground and air units, as well as 8 infantry squads with 20 unique weapon loadouts;

Distant Worlds 2 DLC Will Have You Playing As a Pirate

You can call Distant Worlds 2 a lot of things: Engrossing, complex, overwhelming. However, something you cannot say about this iconic sci-fi 4X strategy game is that it is boring or uninspired. Keeping up with the spirit of keeping things unique and new, the new DLC is turning things upside down. Called Distant Worlds 2: Shadows Rising, this second major expansion for DW2 will put players at the helm of a Pirate Faction or as a single, Lone pirate. Navigate the galaxy while smuggling, raiding, stealing, and undertaking mercenary contracts. This expansion also brings a new “Age of Shadows” starting era, taking place after the Cataclysm that ravaged the galaxy, leaving the Hive as the main threat.

Civil War: Battle of Petersburg Major Update 9 Years Later

I’ll admit that I have never heard about this title called Civil War: Battle of Petersburg, but once the developer emailed me with the information that the game came out in 2017 and has just received a massive update, nearly a decade later, I was intrigued. This latest update expanded the game with animated 3D armies, improved its enemy AI, added online and LAN multiplayer, alongside play-by-email, a scenario editor, and two new 15-mission campaigns.

Empire Deck

I do enjoy showcasing the occasional interesting indie title that shows up every now and then, because a developer has decided to email me. Feel free to do that as well, if you’re one of them. Meet Empire Deck, a 9-Kings and Balatro-inspired game about building an empire from cards, creating perfect crazy combos, and collecting all possible cards to replay it over and over again. There’s no release date at the moment, but feel free to wishlist it if it sounds interesting.

Broken Front Is a Platoon-Based WW2 Wargame

Broken Front is a new World War 2 turn-based tactical wargame that’s cheaper than an average breakfast, and aims to bring the feel of a classic tabletop to your screen. While I can’t vouch for its quality, the asking price is so cheap, I’m tempted to give it a go this weekend.

  1. I’m looking forward to Crowns of Hispania as well; it’s been on my wishlist for some time now. Despite not having a drop of Mediterranean blood in me (at least that I’m aware of), I’ve long had a fascination with Iberia’s history, especially during the medieval period, so this one looks to be right up my alley.

    And as a lifelong space 4x/grand-strategy fan, it goes without saying that I’m waiting for the release of DW2’s Shadows Rising expansion with great anticipation.
