Patches and Updates

Memoriapolis Roadmap

This recently released and well-received 4x/ City-builder announced its roadmap this week, and here’s what the 5PM team is aiming for during the next couple of months: expect to see a city-life simulation system, the modification of neighborhoods according to their culture, an overhaul of the faction systems, a sandbox mode and improvements to the interface. I’m still considering reviewing Memoriapolis, but I’m afraid I would not be as positive as I would like to, and that’s because the game’s still in Early Access. Don’t be discouraged by my words, as clearly I’m in the minority, and the game currently has an 82% very positive rating on Steam.

War In The East 2 Final Feature Update

The bells toll as future content updates for War in the East 2 are dead. This last update for the monumental wargame will add game options to allow players to customize morale by nations, combat delay effects, campaign end conditions (and dates), repair rates, leader casualties, and more.

The team is still going to keep working on bugfixes. If you want, you can consult the whole changelog here. If you never played War in the East 2, I highly recommend it, as it’s one of the best World War 2 games ever made and one of the best wargames as well.

Company of Heroes 3 Major Update

The team keeps working on fixing the problems with Company of Heroes 3, and this time they’ve decided to update several maps’ ambience audio. The team also added 3 new maps (a 2vs2, 3vs3, and a 4vs4). The AI got a couple of tweaks and it should start perceiving the concept of “frontline” and “unit positioning” a lot better, making it feel more aggressive and less passive when attacked.

Men of War 2 Map Modding Updates And Tutorials

Despite its rocky launch, the Men of War 2 team isn’t giving up and they’ve been toiling hard at improving the game. Heck, in a couple of months, they’ve done more than the Company of Heroes 3 team did in a year, so that must say something about their commitment. They’ve also been updating their editor and creating a couple of tutorials. So if you’re interested in giving map-making a whirl, check them out.

News Tower Employee of the Month Update

The most underrated tycoon game in the last decade is constantly receiving updates. This time, the Employee of the Month includes an employee trait system, a monthly calendar, a prestige system for journalists, a new year, and a lot of optimization improvements for when your news tower grows too large. It is recommended that you start a new game to enjoy these features.

Sparrow’s Night News Tower came out to the Steam Early Access program earlier this year and it’s sporting an impressive 96% positive review rating from its audience.
