4 – MENACE – $29.99
While MENACE eluded my previous lists- mainly because it’s still in Early Access and a bit too expensive for the amount of content it packs- I came around and decided to give it a shoutout, because it’s one of the best games of 2026, so far. In fact, it’s my favorite yet, and one that had me playing non-stop when I was putting together a review. I said, “I sincerely think you just found the best turn-based strategy game of 2026“. So far, that statement still stands, and were it not for Star Wars Zero Company looking great, I think MENACE would win that award.
3 – Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters – $8.99

XCOM, but instead of fighting aliens, you’ll be fighting the minions of Nurgle, and instead of spec-ops or resistance members, you control the Grey Knights. For less than 10 dollars, Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters is just glorious.
2 – Marvel’s Midnight Suns – $8.99

One of my favorite games of all time, and I even went so far as to call it perfect. Marvel’s Midnight Suns might have struggled when it first launched, but everybody is coming around to it and seeing what I have always seen: A whimsical turn-based strategy game built by the same people who put together XCOM and XCOM, but with a superhero story, a social element that’s the perfect palate cleanser that will have you interacting with some of the most iconic characters of the Marvel Universe, and a free-moving combat system with a deck-builder element that’s perfect for a superhero theme game. Cannot recommend this one enough.
