Introduction
This isn’t going to be a major article, but I’m doing an in-depth essay on each of these games. Instead, it’s an article made to be read quickly, with a round-up of some very cool and cheap game recommendations that I think you should pick up during the Steam Summer Sale this year. If you want to read more on these games, I have reviews and analyses on most of them, and I’ll link them in each entry. Anyway, I hope you’re having fun with this Steam Sale, and this article will help you out with some last-minute shopping.
10 – Balatro – $11.99
Balatro is a genius game that takes the concept of Poker and turns it into one of the most addictive concepts ever made. Players have to match or surpass the blind by playing poker hands, adding the card number, and multiplying by whatever modifiers you have. Hilarity and insanity follow when your cards get enhanced with extra bonuses, your jokers apply new effects, and your mult gets crazier and crazier. It’s hard to beat at first, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes an amazing go-to game if you want to just play something to relax and with very low commitment.
9 – Fights In Tight Spaces – $4.99

The fact that we never got a decent John Wick game makes me a very sad human being. Fortunately, we have an off-brand version that is, in all honesty, possibly the best Wich adaptation we could have ever asked for because it also adds a piece of Jackie Chan as well. Fights in Tight Spaces is a turn-based strategy game where the player picks their moves from a pool of cards, and these can range from simple movement to devastating combos. Fantastic and stylish.
8 – Age of Mythology: Retold – $14.99

Whenever people ask me about my favorite RTS of all time, I’m always split between Age of Empires II, Company of Heroes, and Age of Mythology, as those three are absolute classics that are unmatched to this very day. If you were to ask me my favorite RTS campaign, then my answer would clearly land on Age of Mythology. Telling the tale of Arkantos, he tries to stop Gargarensis from releasing Kronos and becoming immortal. What follows is an epic tale as Arkantos rises from being a heroic hero to Godhood, fighting in the Trojan War, going to Egypt, and passing by Niflheim.
