Red Recon: 1944

Fans of real-time tactics with stealth elements can rejoice once again with the announcement of Red Recon: 1944. This Commandos-like RTT puts players in control of a team of Red Army operatives from all over the Motherland, to gather intelligence and conduct daring raids behind enemy lines. during the last stretch of the Great Patriotic War (WW2). I welcome every stealth-tactics adventure I can find, so there’s a big chance that by the time you’re reading this, I’ll be giving the currently available demo a go.
WDS Games Get New Updates

After Advance on the Reich, Red Victory, Winter War, and Eagles Strike, Wargame Design Studio has given the visual treatment update to The Proud and the Few (often considered one of the best titles from the studio) as well as Grenada. These graphical updates use the graphical pack acquired from the Burden of Command team, as well as some new Asia/Pacific and Jungle graphics. Plenty of other additions found their way to this new update, like new biomes, weapon type icons added to NATO counters, and several scenarios have been designated as nighly ones, meaning that the night shading will show, if you’d like to. To say that the games look significantly better would be quite an understatement, and this is clearly the way forward for WDS, especially with their recent move to Steam, in search of a wider audience of gamers.
