Sherman Commander Demo Coming To Steam Next Fest
Sherman Commander failed to impress me the last time I played it (also on a Steam Fest, I think), with convoluted controls, weird infantry behaviour, and poor performance. In advance of the Steam Next Fest starting this Tuesday, February 23rd, there’s a new demo available. Hopefully, this one will fare much better.
Wargame Design Studio Game of The Week

If you’re done playing all the missions on Task Force Admiral and are still looking for more World War 2 naval action, then Wargame Design Studios’ latest game of the week might be the cure for your maladies! Guadalcanal features 61 scenarios built around the 1942-1943 campaign for the titular island. As with all other games from WDS, the scenarios are playable from both sides (essentially doubling them), and the orders of battle for the materiel and troops present are recreated to perfection.
Earth vs Mars Playable On The Steam Deck
Earth vs Mars has become quite a special project for Relic Labs. This Advance Wars-inspired title puts players in charge of Earth’s defenses against the invading Martians, in turn-based strategy bouts that are super reminiscent of the Gameboy days, with colourful characters and maps, a cheerful disposition, and a self-awareness rarely found nowadays. Since the battle against the Martians isn’t an easy one, humanity had to develop the “Splice-o-Tron”, a device that can combine humans with Earth creatures to create powerful (and silly) soldiers, like a wasp-cow, or a squirrel-rhino.
Fight Reptilians From Other Dimensions With Reptilians Rising

Ah! Silly you! You thought that Repterra was going to be the one and only strategy game with dinosaurs! In fact, there are two new strategy games about dinosaurs! Reptilian Rising is a turn-based tactics game set in a world where dimension-travelling reptilians invade Earth, and only history’s greatest heroes like Caesar, Einstein, Cleopatra, Richard the Lionheart, and …1980s movie stars can stop them? I’m not gonna lie, I thought this looked very generic, but the ridiculousness of it all makes me really want to give this one a go.
