Top 10 Most Wishlisted Strategy Games On Steam In 2026

1 – Slay the Spire 2

We have finally reached the first game of the top 10 most-wishlisted strategy games on Steam in 2026! And the number one spot goes to Slay the Spire 2! The first Slay the Spire was a massive hit, and it’s still one of Steam’s best-rated games of all time, with a 97% overwhemingly positive rating, with over 175.000 reviews! While details about Slay the Spire 2 are still scarce, from the looks of it, the team is going for a “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” kind of mentality, and the game appears that’s going to be more of what made the first one so good, except with a lot of everything: more Slayers, cards, mechanics, events, new enemies, a new engine, new visuals and mod compatibility. The best part? Slay The Spire 2 is coming out in March 2026, so we won’t have to wait very long to see if the number one spot of the most wishlisted strategy games on Steam in 2026 is deserved!

  3. I’d say that the steam wish list is not a very good metric for assessing what games are being looked forward to by people but only what upcoming steam games some of the players are looking forward to. For example I’m not interested in anything on this list.

Which I believe is the main reason it keeps getting pushed back every year and why he waits until the last minute to do so.
