Warhammer 40,000 – Dawn of War 4 Creative Director Interview
I just saw this awesome interview IGN did with the Dawn of War 4 Creative Director, Jan Theysen, and loved his explanation on how DoW4, one of the 10 most wishlisted games on Steam, came to be, and how their experience with Iron Harvest, Dawn of War, and Dawn of War 2 influenced their design decision.
Strategos Enters Early Access
The year truly is starting out strong this time around, and the first major game coming out is Strategos, a sort of Total-War-like strategy game where the entire focus is on authentic, complex, and engrossing tactical battles set in Antiquity. Having played it across several available demos and now, having played it for my review, I was quite pleased with what the single developer working on it managed to cook. My review of Strategos will come out on the 20th of January, the same day the game releases, so make sure to check that one out if you want to know more.
Peter Molyneux New Game Masters of Albion Out In 2026
Were you aware that Peter Molyneux had a new game in development? You know, the guy who created legendary titles like Fable, Populous, Dungeon Keeper, Black & White, and then went on to ruin his reputation by over-promising and under-delivering with everything he did, especially with Curiosity and Godus? Yeah, that guy. He has a game called Masters of Albion, and it’s coming out on the 22nd of April, 2026.
As expected, this is going to be another God Game, and I have to say that from the look of the trailer, the game isn’t looking bad, but doesn’t look great either. It seems like what’s going to set it apart is the fact that players can take control of any living creature from a third-person perspective and modularly build stuff. They also have to fight zombies and can use their God powers to influence the outcomes of battles. Let’s say I’m cautious, but intrigued.
Wargame Design Studio – Game of The Week Goes To The Eastern Front

Every person who plays strategy games goes through a phase in their life in which all they can think about is the Eastern Front, in the same way people who are History buffs are unhealthily obsessed over the Roman Empire. It doesn’t matter who you are, what you do, and where you come from; it’s just an inevitability of life. So, if you’re currently suffering from Eastern Frontinitis, I have the perfect game for you: Minsk ’44 Gold, Wargame Design Studio’s game of the week, currently running a promotion of 25%. The game includes 84 scenarios, a map with nearly 130 thousand hexes, and the Order of Battle of every force that fought in this major operation.
Field of Glory: Kingdoms – Burghers and Bombards DLC

Slitherine’s answer to Crusader Kings 3 is quite good as it is, and it’s about to become a lot better with the new Burghers and Bombards DLC. If you know a thing or two about the Medieval times, the rise of the Burghers and the introduction of gunpowder started to happen during the mid to late 13th century, and gained major notoriety during the 14th century. This new DLC for Field of Glory: Kingdom will overhaul the late-game economy of the game, reflecting the emergence of wealth and trade by introducing a new Burgher class, building upkeep, inflation, and guilds. New facilities will be added to the game to reflect the coming of age of gunpowder weaponry, with handgunners and bombards, galleys with cannons, and fortresses weaponized with artillery.
The Steam page for the game says that there are going to be some unique gameplay features for the Portuguese, and that means I’m compelled to go back and play it!
