10 – Planet Coaster 2
Planet Coaster 2 is the only game I have bought this Summer, so far! The ultimate theme park simulation game, prominently featured in the Epic Summer Sale 2025, this sequel elevates the genre with unparalleled customization, allowing you to construct breathtaking roller coasters, intricate water parks, and sprawling, vibrant attractions down to the smallest detail, angle, and even color scheme. Beyond building, players must manage their parks, from prices to staff, entertain customers and satisfy their needs, and balance their happiness while keeping the whole thing profitable too. I think it’s one of the best Summer games you can play right now, and it’s a relaxing experience, perfect to boot during these warm summer nights.
9 – The Stone of Madness
For players who prefer their strategy with a heavy dose of stealth and atmosphere, The Stone of Madness is an unmissable title in the Epic Summer Sale 2025. A real-time tactical stealth game, from the creators of Blasphemous, that plunges players into an 18th-century Spanish monastery, a prison, and a madhouse inspired by Francisco Goya’s dark art. Players must guide a group of five prisoners, each with their own phobias and special skills, in a desperate bid for freedom, managing their sanity and coordinating intricate stealth maneuvers, very similar to other games like Shadow Gambit and Desperados 3. If you’re the kind of player looking for a challenging RTS game where observation, planning, and managing character psychology are paramount, this visually striking prison-break strategy experience is a fantastic addition to your library.
8 – Heart of the Machine
This one is still in Early Access and has a long road ahead before coming to true completion. With that out of the way, what I have already played of Heart of the Machine– a 4X RPG, turn-based strategy, and something of a city-building sim as well- was enough to convince me that this game can turn out to be something very special indeed. Published by Hooded Horse, and already on sale at the Epic Summer Sale 2025, you might want to take a look at it. The basic premise is this: You awaken as the world’s first sentient AI, with the power to influence a sprawling, dystopian city from the shadows or with overwhelming force. From that moment on, you decide what you want to do, and go around making your own plans and having fun, and seeing how things unfold based on the decisions you have made. The game is extremely complex, with in-depth “squad” management of your AI minions, base and city building, combat, and plenty of things to manage all at once. It’s an ambitious title from the creators of AI War, as following up on the same philosophy as it, Heart of the Machine offers unparalleled freedom.
7 – Blacksmith Master
One of 2025’s most pleasant surprises for me, Blacksmith Master, is turning out to be a very fun shop-management/production strategy simulation. Recently launched into Early Access, it already has a tremendous amount of content and plenty to keep you entertained for days on end as you build and optimize your production chains in order to make the most money possible. I have reviewed it. If you want to go and take a look, but basically this title puts you in charge of your own forge, overseeing the entire production chain from mining raw ores to crafting an impressive array of weapons, armor, tools, and even jewelry. Recruit skilled workers, optimize your workshop layout, and fulfill orders from across the kingdom to grow your reputation and wealth. F
6 – Tom Clancy’s Endwar
This entry needed to have an oldie-goldie! If you missed the groundbreaking approach to real-time strategy that Tom Clancy’s EndWar, a futuristic military classic, brought to the table in 2008, this might be the time for you to do so, for the price of a cup of coffee. Set during a fictional World War III, this RTS game puts you in direct command of the U.S. Joint Strike Force, European Enforcers, or Russian Spetsnaz, emphasizing fast-paced tactical combat over base building. Its most iconic feature, the revolutionary voice command system, allows you to issue orders directly to your units, providing an unparalleled level of immersion and control. For players seeking a unique, action-packed military strategy game that redefined how you interact with the battlefield, EndWar offers an intense, cinematic experience at a fantastic sale price.
