My 10 Suggestions Of Strategy and RPG Games To Buy During The Steam Party-Based RPG Fest

Marvel Midnight Suns

Imagine if you picked up the best and most famous Marvel heroes and put them into XCOM. That’s how Marvel Midnight Suns was designed, and it allows players to live out their fantasy of building their own hero and fighting alongside Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Wolverine, Blade, and a ton of other iconic characters as they try to stop supernatural and apocalyptic threats.

Cyber Knights: Flashpoint

What say you? The fantasy of Wildermyth and the historical setting of ancient Rome aren’t your thing? Do you want a turn-based strategy game set in a dystopian cyberpunk future? Look no further than Cyber Knights: Flashpoint. The game is developed by Trese Brothers and has one of the most unique campaign mechanics ever. The game features a sort of game director that keeps tabs on every action taken and uses it to build stories around it, all in an effort to make each campaign unique and memorable. Yes, the combat is amazing, and yes, you can use samurai swords, because that’s a thing in cyberpunk.

Aethermancer

Just out, Aethermancer is the best off-brand Pokemon title I have ever played, and I truly mean it. Aethermancer is one of those rare experiences that doesn’t just take the monster-catching and fighting formula and change the skin to say it’s a different thing from Nintendo’s IP. Instead, it’s a monster-catch roguelike where, each run, you create a new team of previously caught monsters and evolve them during said run, with game-changing modifiers you gain due to experience. It’s one of those titles that allow you to completely break it, and it’s amazing!

Persona 4 Golden

I have spent a significant portion of my summer vacations playing Persona 4 in Spain. It was the first time I took the game anywhere near seriously, and let me tell you, this was an experience I’ll never forget. The high-school setting paired with the exploration of the hostile TV World’s dungeons is such a weird concept on paper, but it works so well. The crafting of personas, the hour-long story bits, and the fantastic combat make Persona 4 a must-buy title for this Party-Based RPG Fest!
