4 – Pillars of Eternity
Pillars of Eternity is Obsidian Entertainment’s love letter to classic Infinity Engine RPGs like Baldur’s Gate and Planescape: Torment, and still remains a landmark title in the modern CRPG renaissance. Set in the rich fantasy world of Eora, the game features deep tactical party management, versatile character building, and a beautifully written narrative laden with tough moral choices, it’s an essential experience for strategy and RPG fans alike. Grabbing the Definitive Edition on sale gets you the complete package, including both parts of The White March expansion for dozens of hours of classic isometric gameplay.
3 – Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader

Most 40K titles are centered around bombastic combat, and gory action, and with good reason, the setting does lend itself pretty damn great for that (and I’m a massive fan as well), but Owcat Games went the CRPG and turn-based strategy route, and ended up creating one of the best Warhammer titles of all time, if not the best, with Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. With well over 100 hours of RPG goodness, you’ll be exploring the Koronus expanse in your voidship as a Rogue Trader (if you know, you know).
2 – Showgunners
This is a new one! I started playing Showgunners very recently, after coming across it on a random comment in Strategy and Wargaming! Thank you so much, dear reader! This is a turn-based combat title where players take the role of a contestant in a life-or-death reality show where survival depends on your tactical acumen. I’m currently going through its handcrafted campaign, and so far the game is pretty solid, and I might end up penning a review of it when I’m done. The game’s currently sitting at a 93% rating on Steam, so that’s an endorsement too.
