Planet Zoo 2 Gameplay Reveal
Frontier Developments keeps doing the Lord’s work by bringing us the best tycoon games of the modern era, with Planet Coaster and Planet Coaster 2 being the gold standard for theme park management aficionados, and Planet Zoo the game that finally dethroned Zoo Tycoon as the best game for animal lovers. Planet Zoo 2 is going a step forward by introducing fully aquatic and flying species, and will allow you to not only run a Zoo, but also prepare your animals so that they can be released into Wildlife Reserves. Battleplan New Dev Diary Talks Combined Arms
One of my most anticipated wargames of 2026 is Battleplan, a World War 2 title that can best be described as the planning phase of Hearts of Iron 4 turned into a fully fledged wargame set during the Normandy campaign. The new developer diary unveiled a couple of novelties division commanders will have to know about if they want to find victory on the battlefield, by compensating for each other’s strengths and weaknesses. To simulate units supporting each other, units of different types within the same square kilometer will give other nearby units status bonuses.
Specialist units will, in turn, automatically deal with the problems presented to them. If you have engineers nearby, they’ll go and clear mines and fortifications, while scouts will move forward searching for enemies, artillery will support your fighting forces as long as they’re within their radius, and anti-aircraft guns will strike at ground and air targets alike.
