Total Victory: World Conflict 1939-1945 Demo

Kraken Studios has released a demo for their upcoming grand strategy title, Total Victory: World Conflict 1939-1945. This one is aiming for the “everything and the kitchen sink” approach, covering the entire global conflict from 1939 to 1945. It includes management of the economy, research, and high-level unit formations. The demo gives you a taste of the scale, which is impressive. I saw a couple of first impressions on it, of those who already gave the demo a go, and people seem to like it. After I’m done with the demo for Sudden Strike 5, this one is next on my games-to-play-this-week factory line.
WARSHIFT 2: RTS/Action Hybrid Looks Like A Blast
The developer of WARSHIFT 2 contacted me and made me aware of its existence, and I have to admit that I had no idea this game was even a thing, but damn, if it doesn’t look like a blast! It’s a game where you can build your base and manage your battalions from a bird’s-eye view, but then jump directly into the cockpit of a mech or a capital ship to lead the charge personally, and the game is quite a good looker! This one managed to catch my eye and pique my interest. I’ll keep my eye on you, WARSHIFT 2.
Full Metal Sergeant 2 Has Deployed

If you ever felt the urge to scream at pixels until they become elite killing machines, Full Metal Sergeant 2 is out now. This sequel expands on the original’s boot camp management by adding a new turn-based combat system where you actually take your recruits into the field after their twelve weeks of hell.
Anno 117: Pax Romana – Prophecies of Ash Releases April 23rd

The first DLC for Anno 117: Pax Romana, called Prophecies of Ash, is coming on the 23rd of April, and will add the biggest island in the history of the Anno franchise: Cinis. The DLC will also have Volcanos, which bring a new resource called Obsidian.
Ascenders: Beyond the Peak Revealed
This was a surprise reveal to me, but one that, I got to say, is looking to be a lot more exciting than it would sound on paper: Ascender: Beyond the Peak is an exploration roguelite that blends turn-based mountain climbing with expedition management. It features a “rope system” where your team is physically connected, meaning one person’s mistake can literally drag the whole squad off a cliff, or you can use that to your advantage, like securing allies, anchor climbs, and swinging moves. To add to the flavor, the game is set on a mountain cursed with Lovecraftian horrors, so you’re not just fighting the cold and the heights. Every loss is permanent.
