Strategy and Wargaming News – 3rd August – Terminator: Dark Fate New DLC, MicroProse New Game, Battlefield 6, A Lot Of New Gameplay Footage for RTS Games!

Veil of Ashes New Gameplay

I can only describe Veil of Ashes as a very weird mix between old Warhammer tech and Iron Harvest, I guess? Where the bigger the better, and the more ridiculously designed a machine, the more powerful it is. This is a real-time strategy game I have talked before in here, but there’s still a lot of details left out on what the final product is supposed to be, but see the video for another peel of the veil, so take a look at it!

Squad Celebrates Its 10th Year Anniversary

One of the best milsim first-person-shooters (FPS) ever made, Squad, is celebrating its 10th anniversary! What a run it has been! To celebrate this milestone, all of Offworld’s titles are currently on 50% off! Those are Squad, Squad 44 (previously Post Scriptum), Starship Troopers: Extermination, and Beyond the Wire. Squad recently moved engines, going for Unreal 5.

Defcon Zero

I came across Defcon Zero on Youtube and have no idea what it is, and it doesn’t even have a Steam Page yet, but this future real-time strategy (RTS) is looking pretty damn good!

Wargame Studio Game of the Week – Napoleonic Battles: Campaign Austerlitz

If you’re looking for a Napoleonic Era wargame to play this summer, the folk at the Wargame Design Studio put up their Napoleonic Battles: Campaign Austerlitz on sale as their game of the week, with 25% off the normal pricing. The game features 146 scenarios, with most being realistic, but with some “what if” as well. All scenarios are playable from both sides.

9 Kings Update Brings New King

As your resident Strategy and Wargaming hipster was the first website to review 9 Kings, Hooded Horse’s instant hit, a game that now has over 10.000 reviews, with 92% being positive. Well, just recently a new King has been added, the King of Nomads. This deck focuses on movement, and rewards the placement and displacement of plots, and is built around the idea of experimenting more with these mechanics.

Against the Storm Nightwatchers DLC Out Now

Top selling rogue-lite city builder Against the Storm is on a roll lately, and they have just released their most recent DLC called Nightwatchers. This DLC adds a new species, the Bats, who excel at metalworking, a new rocky biome, where even the trees are made of rock, 3 new World Map modifiers and 3 World events, and a lot more stuff. The DLC also brings some cool new stuff for every one!
