News Tower Big Free Update
At least we have News Tower to cheer us up with a very good take on the management aspect of a very special subject near and dear to my heart: journalism, actual journalism. The most recent update added six news desks for your reports to specialize on (Court Report, Legislative Report, Stock Index, Obituary, Horoscope, and Baseball Report), a new 6th-page module for your printer, and a full new year (1935) of content.
Foxhole Infantry Update
Not a strategy game, but an interesting one nevertheless, Foxhole received a massive update overhauling its infantry combat, this update includes a refined suppression system, weapon shouldering, stamina mechanics, anti-tank rifles, and a new melee combat system. The update also includes new medical buildings, new facilities for producing specialized weapons for infantry, persistent minefields, custom infantry loads, and two new vehicles.
Arma 3 New Creator DLC: Expeditionary Forces DLC
ArmA 3 and its players really are a peculiar bunch. What other genre other than mil-sim could get away with a game trailer that’s 90% all about logistics and the set-up before a battle, and only 10% of the trailer is the actual fighting? I love Arma III.
The new Expeditionary Forces DLC theme is the Marines and its roaster of vehicles is mostly amphibious and IFV and landing ships. The new DLC also brings new airburst munitions, a long-range anti-tank missile, and a single-player mini-campaign.
Total War: Warhammer III – Omens of Destruction DLC
This recent hellraising Omens of Destruction DLC for Total War: Warhammer III is bringing 3 new legendary Lords for Khorne, Orcs and Goblins, and the Ogre Kingdoms. These are Skulltaker, The Hero Slayer, Gobard Ironclaw, the Brutal Unifier, and Goldfag Maneater, The Mercenary, respectively. Each new lord also brings a new campaign feature, a distinct playstyle, and new characters and units.
Kaiserpunk Playtest
Kaiserpunk, one of my most anticipated games of 2025 is currently running a playtest weekend and everybody is welcome to join and give the game a whirl until December 3rd. However, your time with the game is limited to 5 hours in a single session, but “there is no limit on how many new sessions you can set up and start”.
