Ghost Justice

I haven’t given Forgotten but Unbroken, the World War 2 turn-base dstrategy game from Centurion Developments, the best coverage possible, but I think they might be cooking something interesting with the gritty, modern setting of Ghost Justice. The game puts you in command of an elite task force waging a turn-based war against cartel syndicates. If you enjoy XCOM-style turn-based tactics, this is easily one of the standout demos available right now.
Veterans: Napoleonic Wars
Veterans: Napoleonic Wars was involved in quite a messy situation a couple of months ago, after being pulled from Steam moments before the previous Next Fest started due to a DMCA. Clearly inspired by the titles of Game Labs like Ultimate General: Gettysburg and Civil War, Veterans: Napoleonic Wars takes the formula to the right onto historical battlefields like Montenotte and Alexandria, where you maneuver thousands of soldiers across expansive 3D terrain. From what I have played of it, it’s okay. It’s certainly better than the last demo I played. However, I’m still a bit skeptical that the game is ready to come out into Early Access in just a couple of days, on October 28th.
Crimson Banner: War of Liberation

Chris, my resident niche wargaming expert, has an up-and-coming interview with Crimson Banner: War of Liberation that’s extremely interesting, and way too large. I’m still not sure how he managed to convince me to let him publish such a huge interview. Anyway, stay tuned for that, but if you want to give Crimson Banner a go in the meantime, you can, as its demo is readily available. Inspired by Unity of Command, the game has players commanding the PLA during the People’s War of Liberation.
