Join me, and come update yourself on everything that’s happening in the Strategy and Wargaming genres!

Dawn of War IV Delayed Until November

Let’s start with the biggest news of the week: In a video announcement, KING Art and Deep Silver have announced that Dawn of War IV is being delayed until December, with a new release date set for December 3rd, 2026. The main reasons won’t surprise anyone: The team needs a bit more time to clear out bugs, work on the game’s polish, and improve its performance. While it’s somewhat sad to see one of the most anticipated real-time strategy games of 2026 getting released later than expected, I would rather have a great game instead of releasing it in a poor technical state.

Star Wars Zero Company First Impressions Are Very Positive

The first impressions on the up-and-coming Star Wars Zero Company, the turn-based strategy title being put together by Bit Reactor and Electronic Arts, have started to come out, and those who got to play it have nothing but great things to say. The story seems to be quite memorable; there’s some third-person exploration as well, the combat treads very closely to XCOM, and the social elements of Marvel Midnight Suns also make a show, with a base to explore and crew members to interact with. If you’ve been here for a while, you have probably heard me say that Midnight Suns is one of my favorite games of all time, and one of the main reasons is the social aspect of it.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War – Definitive Edition Sold 750,000 Copies In a Year

In yet another Warhammer-related news, Relic Entertainment has announced that Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War – Definitive Edition has sold over 750,000 copies after being released in 2025, and quickly becoming one of the best strategy games of 2025. The visual overhaul, alongside a tone of modern quality-of-life improvements, and the fact that the Definitive Edition brought the base game and all expansions into a single package made this a must-have for any fans of the original, or newcomers that might have missed its early 2000s release.

Starship Troopers: Terran Command Jungle DLC

Just like BATTLESECTOR, Starship Troopers: Terran Command has received so much post-launch support that it’s hard to believe, especially when you factor in the fact that this is mostly a single-player-based real-time strategy game. Well, it looks like support isn’t over, and there’s a new DLC in the works, and it will be the biggest one yet. Here’s what it’s going to be like:

  • Set in a deep jungle biome;
  • 9 new player units;
  • 4 new Arachnid types;
  • A 9-mission story campaign;
  • 5 new Territory Mode maps;

Starship Troopers: Terran Command is an absolute masterpiece of real-time strategy, and the focus on its single-player earned it a well-coveted Strategy and Wargaming Seal of Approval.
