1 – Warhammer 40.000: Dawn of War IV
- Developer: KING Art
- Publisher: Deep Silver
- Release Date: 17 September, 2026
- Steam Page
We are just a couple of weeks away from finally getting a new Dawn of War game, and I could not be more excited about it. Everything seems to be falling in place for DoW IV to be one of, if not the best, games in this classic RTS series. The decision to go back to its roots and create a game that’s in most major aspects similar to the first Dawn of War is exactly the kind of thing the community wanted to hear, and with the pedigree of KING Art (previously worked on Iron Harvest) behind it, Dawn of War IV has everything going for it to be one of the best RTS of 2026, and possibly one of the best RTS of the this decade. Just please don’t fumble the ball with this one by missing basic things like performance or an engaging campaign story.
Conclusion
It looks like 2026 and 2027 are going to be filled with some of the best RTS releases we have seen in this decade! Just the sheer amount of variety alone is outstanding, and should make every player happy that RTS has managed to make such a strong resurgence! Are we entering a new golden age of the genre? We will have to wait and see, but when you put the classics together with these new releases, we are certainly in the best place the genre has ever been!
