1 – Total War: Warhammer III
Total War going down the Warhammer route might have saved the entire franchise, and I’m not even exaggerating. This single move might have turned the fate of Creative Assembly from a company that seemed like they were out of touch, into one of strategy fans’ favorites. The final game of the Warhammer trilogy, Total War: Warhammer III is the culmination of everything the team has learned from their previous game put together, and everything on display just serves to put a nice bow on the whole thing, making its conclusion all the more satisfying: The unique faction design with widely different playstyles, the addition of fan favorite factions like Chaos and Nurgle, and the final portion of the Immortal Empires now completed, the entire trilogy is a must for any Warhammer or Total War fan with a passing interest in the mythical franchise.
What other games allow you to play at this scale and magnitude, and allow you to bring up all the previous games and their DLCs neatly into a single experience? If you can, I would advise you to pick up the whole trilogy of titles. If you can only pick one up, Warhammer II and Warhammer III are the games where the uniqueness of the faction design (and heroes) really shines through, and what makes Total War: Warhammer so interesting in the first place
