Iron Harvest
Iron Harvest is exactly Company of Heroes, but with mechs. Is that a bad thing? No, of course not. We have already established that Company of Heroes is a fantastic game. So, adding mechs would only make it better. Well, sort of. While the Iron Harvest setting of the 1920s with mechs is fantastic, the game’s mechanics didn’t really do much to accommodate the introduction of mechs, and they act very much like multi-legged tanks, and once the biggest bad machines entered the battlefield, the game’s infantry (which ironically has the best combat mechanics) became a bit obsolete, so it’s premise kind of fell a bit short. At least the campaign was interesting, and the setting made it worth experiencing.
Conclusion
This was my trip down the best games, which are the best of the worst, or the worst of the best, depending on how you look at it. There are dozens of 7 out of 10s out there, and I love them all, so please do let me know if I miss any, and why I should play them!
