Hearts of Iron IV: Thunder At Our Gates DLC Announced

Hearts of Iron IV is getting yet another new expansion, even a decade after it originally debuted. Called Thunder At Our Gates, this unpriced piece of DLC will add new Australia, Siam, and Indonesia focus trees, and add 2 new mechanics called Military HQs and Ship Captains. The first will allow for the deployment of generals in physical locations to provide extra bonuses, and the latter for the naming of captains to commandeer their ships and offer them a chance at improving their skills before appointing them as admirals.

Tabletop Tavern Release Date

The advent of roguelike strategy games is a trend I’ve been enjoying quite a lot lately, so I’m always happy to see new entries arrive on the scene. Tabletop Tavern was quite a success in the last Steam Next Fest, and ranked amongst the games that stirred the most interest from players, including wishlists and downloads, if my memory serves me right. Now, the fast-paced RTS is set to come out on the 11th of June, and having played it for a bit, I was pleasantly surprised with what’s being attempted here, even if I’m not the biggest fan of incredibly fast battles, as that has been one of my main criticisms of other games as well. Yes, I’m looking at you, Total War.

Civil War Battles: Campaign Shenandoah is going for $29.95, features 175 scenarios (playable by both sides), and true-to-life Orders of Battle that cover both the Union and Confederate forces that partook in the operations.

Company of Heroes 3 New Dare & Destroy DLC Out Now

Another week goes by, and another DLC for Company of Heroes 3 that doesn’t focus on multiplayer comes out, and gets yet another mixed review rating with players calling out its excessively high price of $24.99 and small amounts of content. The Dare & Destroy DLC adds 4 new factions: The defensive Free French, the self-explanatory Siege Breaker, the British Special Service Battlegroup composed of daring commandos, and the Elite Forces of the Deutsches Afrikakorps, which are a mix of high-level infantry with top-notch equipment.
