Vultures Scavengers of Death Is A Turn-Based Survival Horror Available Now
If you were around video games during the days of the Sega Saturn and PlayStation 1, or have played Resident Evil and Alone In The Dark, then Vultures Scavengers of Death is sure to stir memories. A tactical turn-based survival horror inspired by those aforementioned classics, it puts players in the shoes of a VULTURE operative in the Salento Valley, after a bio-hazard incident, in search of a cure. I have to say that after I’m done writing my impressions on Theatre of War Rearmed, I’ll probably be giving this one a go.
Modern Naval Warfare Out May 18th
Wave Ops ‘ much-anticipated submarine simulator Moden Naval Warfare will surface on May 18th, on Steam, Matrix, and Slitherine stores for all soon-to-be submariners to take for a spin. A recent dev post title, “Is Modern Naval Warfare for you?” highlights the complexity of the game, how steep its learning curve is, and how the game’s uncompromising nature might hinder your enjoyment of the title. This is such a refreshing and transparent take, as most gaming companies downright avoid letting players know about a game’s complexity to avoid scaring them away from a purchase. Players seem to be reacting extremely positively to this messaging strategy.
Space Scum Has A Demo You Can Try Right Now
I can never get over the fact that we have so many demos available, after nearly two decades, when the concept of it had vanished completely. Thank you, Steam, for that. The most recent demo added to my “I’ll certainly play this one, this weekend” list is Space Scum, a sci-fi turn-based strategy that looks exactly like Battle Brothers in space.
Legion of Honor Looks Like WW2 Retro Goodness
I recently came across Legion of Honor, a new World War II FPS that draws direct inspiration from the original Medal of Honor titles. There’s nothing major going on with it. I just wanted to showcase it to you, because if it manages to deliver on its premise, it will surely be an interesting addition to an ever-growing roster of retro FPS titles.
