Take-Two CEO Knows They “Got It Wrong” With The Ages System

It’s no novelty that Civilization VII is the worst of all Civilization titles, having reworked familiar systems that didn’t need to be reworked, only built upon, as expertly showcased by Civilization V and Civ VI before it. In a recent interview, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick recognized that the new Ages System didn’t connect with players, but despite that, Civilization VII has been a profitable addition to Take-Two’s repertoire of titles. Hopefully, that means Civ VII will be continually worked on until it reaches an acceptable state, and players seem excited for the soon-to-be-out-the-door “Test of Time” update.

War Room: Tactical Sandbox Looks Crazy

I don’t know what to make of War Room: Tactical Sandbox. It’s the kind of game that sounds like it’s too good to be true. Being developed by the popular Brazilian YouTube channel Lado B Da História, it aims to be a complete simulation that will allow tacticians and content creators the freedom to recreate any conflict, at any scale they want. I’m curious to see how this one pans out.

The Troop Free Units

The Troop added a new fun update that adds the Battle of France to the game, new units, and a skirmish map called “interception”. That’s all! You can go and play it right now! If you haven’t heard, The Troop was recently nominated by Strategy and Wargaming as one of the best wargames of the last decade!

Task Force Admiral New Scenario And Crew

Look at it! Task Force Admiral (one of the best wargames of 2026) now has a few crews (one of the game’s Kickstarter goals) manning their posts! How cute! Recently, a new scenario called “Wake-up call at Tulagi” was made available. A reimagined scuffle that will put you straight into action, understrenght, and without any strike force at your disposal.

Wargame Design Studio Game of the Week – Panzer Campaigns: Poland ’39

The dear folk at Wargame Design Studio have one of their best titles going for 25% off right now. Panzer Campaigns: Poland ’39 will have you experiencing the first campaign of the Second World War and the beginning of “Blitzkrieg”. The master map of nearly 1 million hexes and a massive and true-to-life Order of Battle of all the units involved are center stage and pieces to 77 scenarios, playable by all sides, covering the first month of the war.
