Battlefield Commander World War II

My favourite word-stappler, Tim Stone from the Tally-Ho Corner has spotted this in-development real-time tactical game in the wild called Battlefield Commander World War 2. Give it a read if you want to know more.

Wartales Announces New DLC Called “The Pits”

Beloved role-playing game, Wartales recently announced a new combat-focused DLC called The Pits.

You and your crew will be diving deep into the secret battles that happen in the Pits below the surface, where the brigands of the Kingdoms face off against each other. This DLC is composed of five unique Pits, located across several areas around the World, with each offering its own challenges. In total, there are 25 hand-crafted battles to take part.

Prison Architect 2 Might Get Shelved By Paradox

Paradox has been fumbling the ball quite hard lately: in the first six months of 2024, Paradox saw a 13% decrease in revenue compared to last year and a 59% decrease in operating profit. During this time they shelved Life by You, and now they have decided to indefinitely delay Prison Architect 2, doing the same thing they did with Life by You before announcing its cancellation.

While the announcement might have not been cause for alarm, the fact that Paradox is immediately giving out refunds suggests to me that this might be the last we hear of Prison Architect 2.

In my opinion, Paradox should be focusing on doing what they do best, and that’s to develop and publish grand-strategy games. Besides, Prison Architect 2 looks really, really ugly.

It’s thanks to the goodwill of video game publishers like Slitherine, Hooded Horse, and others that I’m able to cover games prior to their releases.
