1 – Jagged Alliance 3
For nearly 20 years, it seems that Jagged Alliance couldn’t get a break, and each subsequent game released after JA2 was worse than the last. So much so that fans had lost all faith in the series, myself included, and fans weren’t excited for Jagged Alliance 3. How surprising was it then that the demo turned out to be rather good, and the final game ever better?
It should come as no surprise that this was achieved using a simple concoction of taking the basics that made Jagged Alliance so beloved, and keeping them intact, while adding a ton of quality of life improvements, increasing the amount of options you had for turn-based combat, a revamped campaign map, and plenty of flavourful narrative elements. It’s an excellent addition to any library, and a worthy successor to bear the Jagged Alliance moniker.
