7 – Every Day We Fight
I know that Every Day We Fight was a bit rough when it came out in Early Access, but I love the game. It’s a tense hybrid strategy where you explore in real time and then drop into turn-based tactical combat, guiding a band of civilians through a mysterious alien time loop, leveling up skills and gear as you fight, die, and try again to break the cycle. The story is just so interesting, and the exploring aspect just tickles my brain the right way, and at 50%, costing just 15 dollars, it’s a game you shouldn’t miss.
6 – Battle Brothers
It’s a shame that MENACE isn’t on sale, but at least you have Battle Brothers, its predecessor. A gritty medieval turn-based strategy where you lead a mercenary company across a living open world, decide which contracts to take, recruit and equip your fighters, and engage in brutal tactical battles where positioning, gear, and permadeath make every decision matter.
5 – Blacksmith Master

A cozy medieval strategy-sim where you build and optimize your own blacksmith empire, managing everything from mining raw materials and crafting weapons to hiring staff and selling wares in a bustling shop. Tell me of another game other than Blacksmith Master that allows you to have fun making silverware. For 10 dollars, it’s too good a deal to pass.
