Strategy and Wargaming News – 15 February 2026 – Steam Next Fest, Burden of Command New DLC, Mewgenics Out Now, and Much More

Foxhole Airborne Out Now

Players of Foxhole, the massive, multiplayer online wargame where players have to fabricate every piece of equipment from scratch, as if it were a kind of militaristic Minecraft mod, are taking to the skies with the release of the free update Foxhole Airborne! As expected, this free update will add a whole new dimension of operations to the game, expanding beyond the land and sea, and giving in-game generals new ways to plan and take objectives, with fighter pilots, bombers, paratrooper operations, and all the logistics inherent to the servicing of aviation equipment. Also, the game is currently 40% off, at 15 dollars.

Master of Albion Gameplay Trailer Looks… Generic

If you’ve been here for a while, you already know that I’m a very positive kind of game and that I try to bring the best in strategy and wargaming to light. And I’m really trying my hardest to be positive towards Master of Albion, but the most recent trailer is ringing all kinds of mental bells: the overabundance of shiny and generic Unreal Engine graphics, choppy gameplay footage, and a downright ugly UI. Add to that the fact that Peter Molyneux is behind it, and the game has a release date of April 22, 2026, and I don’t think Master of Albion is going to become the Black and White 3 everybody expects it to be.

Wargame Design Studio Game of the Week

WDS Game of the Week

One of my favorite games from Wargame Design Studio is currently going for 25%. Squad Battles: Advance of the Reich covers the first two years of the Eastern Front, from 1941 to 1942, with exquisite detail. The game ditches the high-level planning and operational handling to focus exclusively on the tactical aspect of military actions, which is by far my favorite. With 113 scenarios, ranging from small skirmishes to massive engagements, there’s plenty to keep one busy for months on end. Better yet, the game has recently seen a massive graphical update, as Wargame Design Studio is currently incorporating the amazing terrain from Burden of Command into its series.
