Introduction

This is a new one for me! I don’t remember seeing Steam run a PVP Fest before in the years prior, so that’s always nice to see. In this list, I’m going to go a bit more generic and not delve too deeply into each game. It’s just a very quick game, in case you might be interested in picking up some games, because there are plenty of good strategy games on Sale.

The Steam PVP Fest 2026 runs from February 9th until February 16th.

10 – Wargroove

If you’re a player and a fan of the Advance Tactics series, or just overall enjoy playing fun and whimsical turn-based strategy games, then Wargroove is the game for you. A fantasy version of Advance Tactics through and through, with an awesome campaign and fun ultimate moves.

9 – DEFCON

DEFCON is a really old game by today’s standards, but its unique looks, directly inspired by the 1983 classic movie Wargames, turned it into a timeless strategy game that players still love to discuss nowadays. Players take control of the world’s nuclear arsenal and experience the reality of global thermonuclear war by sending using silos, nuclear submarines, and strategic bombers. Pretty grim, but an iconic strategy game.

8 – Zephon

If you’re a fan of Warhammer 40,000: Gladius, then you’ll most likely enjoy 2024’s Zephon, a title from the same studio that’s a 4X strategy game, where the main focus is on deep, engaging tactical combat that mixes a cyberpunk world with eldritch horror. Very well received by players, and great for multiplayer.
