Introduction
The Steam Winter Sale 2025 is coming to an end on the 5th of January, and despite having written several lists with some amazing recommendations, I wanted to do a final one, of fantastic deals you might want to take advantage of, and stock up on games for the foreseeable future!
The games I have selected are cheap, high-quality, and filled with great content. Some are recent, some are older, but one thing is for certain: all of them are golden experiences you won’t regret having a go at. Join me as we take a look at 10 last-minute deals for the Steam Winter Sale 2025
15 – Planet Coaster
Why pick Planet Coaster and not Planet Coaster 2? Well, the main reason would be price, because the first is less than 10 dollars, and Planet Coaster 2 is 25 dollars, so there’s that. It might also help that Planet Coaster is a pretty solid game with nearly a decade of continuous support under its belt, a massive modding community, and it’s as great a theme-park creator as Planet Coaster 2. Planet Coaster 2 has water parks, so if you’re into that, maybe go with PC2; otherwise, the first will do fine.
14 – Total War: Medieval 2
It’s Total War: Medieval 2, the best medieval RTS any player can pick up and play in 2025. By far one of the best strategy games ever made and a beloved classic by any Total War fan.
13 – Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic
Cities: Skylines, but set in Soviet Russia, players must overcome the rigors of the soviet economic system to create a rich, industrial super-city. Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic has a crazy amount of detail, and as the town’s commissar, you have control over pretty much every aspect of the game’s economic systems.
12 – Against the Storm
A dark-fantasy, roguelike city-builder where you’re always trying to please a forever-watching, and seldom-satisfied monarch called the Scorched Queen. In Against the Storm, players must lead a mix of humans, foxes, harpies, beavers, and all kinds of other creatures into new unknowns to establish new colonies there to bring the land’s richies back to the Smoldering City.
11 – Frostpunk
A tough-as-nails city-builder/survival game set during an ice age, and players act as the rulers of the last city on Earth. Frostpunk gained major prominence when it came out due to the difficult choices it forced players to make, from forced full-day shifts on tired citizens, ignoring the idea that child labor is a bad thing, to whether it’s even worth putting bodies to rest. It’s a grim experience, but for 3 dollars, it’s one of the best last-minute strategy game deals for the Steam Winter Sale 2025.
