Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Joins Forces With The Royal Armories

It’s no secret that Hell Let Loose is one of my favorite first-person shooters of all time, and I’m pretty sure there’s a consensus amongst the historical milsim community that it’s the best World War 2 first-person shooter in the market, right now. Team 17 taking the Hell Let Loose formula to Vietnam seemed like an obvious step, and I’m glad they’re going all in with it. In order to ensure authenticity in the weapon and equipment to be featured in their game, Team17 has teamed up with the Royal Armouries to capture video, images, scans, and audio recordings of the museum’s weapons collection.

Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition – Chronicles: Alexander the Great New DLC

The soon-to-be-released, on October 14th, 2025, DLC for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, called Chronicles: Alexander the Great, is bringing the beloved historical character and his amazing exploits into the forefront of Age of Empires. This expansion will feature a grand campaign with 18 scenarios, 3 new civilizations (Macedonians, Thracians, and Puru), a new customizable campaign army mechanic, as well as accompanying visual and audio upgrades. I know I say this fairly often, but the fact that a game that’s soon going to be 30 years old is still getting new content, and is one of the most played strategy games in 2025 is just mind blowing in this fast-paced industry, and a testament to how Age of Empires II is the best real-time strategy (RTS) game ever made.

It also features an accurate Order of Battle of all the forces on the campaign, as well as a 30,935 hex map. The game is currently 25% off, retailing at $29.95.

Surprised you haven’t mentioned Fanatical is currently running a promotion where all the Combat Mission games are on sale for incredibly cheap (like $4 apiece, including Final Blitzkrieg, Black Sea, Cold War, Red Thunder, Fortress Italy and Normandy). They also have Headquarters, Armored Brigade, Panzer Corps 2 and more.
