I was too young when this game hit store shelves for the first time and engraved itself in the memory of aviation aficionados and cemented MicroProse as a household name in the strategy and sim sphere. Now, the classic title, originally launched in 1992 makes its way back to Steam.
The Memphis Belle crew’s fate now rests at your fingertips, will you be able to gloriously bring them back home alive across the 25 missions they have ahead? At least, you’ll be flying on the famous, most legendary silhouette to ever bless the skies, the B-17 Flying Fortress.
If there’s one thing I love about returning game is that their feature page is written has in the day it came out “The most complete and accurate bomber simulation ever produced, the B-17 Flying Fortress will have you negotiating 25 perilous missions in broad daylight”. All this chit-chat and I’m wondering if you are curious to know what this game is all about and wasn’t alive to play it back then? Imagine a realistic version of Bomber Crew in the early ’90s, as flight commanders will spend most of their time redirecting the actions of their crew.
B-17 Flying Fortress: World War II Bombers in Action is available at Steam for 7,39€ or your regional equivalent.
Also, MicroProse is currently working on The Mighty Eight.
