7 – Sherman Commander

I do hope the demo for Sherman Commander sticks its landing with players, because very few games have such a promising premise as this: Players take control of a Sherman tank, in Europe, during World War 2, from a first-person perspective, and are also able to control other units as if it were a real-time strategy game. Essentially, you’re playing an RTS from first person, and that’s pretty damn neat.
6 – Copa City

Copa City sounds like a really fun time! A city-builder with a sports twist, where players have to organize and host their own football tournaments, which is quite a logistical undertaking and one of the most unique premises I have seen on a tycoon strategy game. The demo puts players in the role of a City Captain in Warsaw, preparing for their first major event, a football match between the legendary teams of Arsenal FC and Besiktas JK.
5 – Ashes of the Singularity 2
A couple of months ago I had the chance to interview the developer of Ashes of the Singularity 2, and was plesantly surprised by their bold approach of “If I see a game that is just StarCraft or Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance with better visuals, I’ll just stick with the original”, and how they’re looking to improve on every aspect of the game by adding a new human faction, terrain deformation, a better AI, and creating a better singleplayer campaign. The demo is going to give players a taste of 2 playable factions, allow for free skirmish mode against the AI, and experience full multiplayer on 3 different maps.
