The Top 10 Trending Strategy Games on Steam – November 2025

4 – Jurassic World Evolution 3

We’ve seen medieval city-builders, mice-related city-builders, so the obvious next step would be to have something with dinosaurs, right? Well, if you agree with that, then Jurassic World Evolution 3 is trending due to the return of its beloved park-management gameplay, now deeper than ever, thanks to the introduction of juvenile dinosaurs and multi-generational breeding. If you’re the kind of player who saw the movies and thought to yourself, “How the heck are these people so bad at planning their park,” and think you could build and customise your own prehistoric parks much better, then Jurassic World Evolution 3 is the game for you. The game’s popularity is fueled by its rich creative tools, the emotional weight of raising young dinosaurs, and robust disaster management systems (like security cameras and a maintenance ATV team) that keep chaos in check.

3 – Surviving Mars: Relaunched

That’s right, November is definitely the month of city-builders. We had medieval, mice, dinosaurs, and now we need to go to Mars to keep the ante going up. This newly relaunched edition takes the beloved sci-fi city-builder back to the Red Planet with upgraded graphics, a reworked UI, and every DLC included, as well as a brand-new political system called the Martian Assembly, letting players legislate laws, manage factions, and even guide Mars toward independence from Earth. If you enjoy games set in space and loved that Matt Damon movie called The Martian, you might enjoy the rich, immersive sandbox that’s Surviving Mars: Relaunched.

2 – Europa Universalis 5

The long-awaited Europa Universalis 5 (launched November 4, 2025) is making waves on the strategy gaming scene as the best and most complex grand strategy game ever made, thanks to its astonishing scope, in-depth simulation of every living person, and outstanding production value. Europa Universalis 5 is the definitive evolution of Paradox’s flagship genre, the grand strategy. In it, players guide a nation through almost 500 years of history, starting in the early 14th century of late medieval Europe to the Age of Revolution. During their century-spanning campaign, they have to balance diplomacy, trade, military, and internal politics (with the amazing introduction of Estates), as they march towards technological progress and State centralization. In my review, I called Europa Universalis 5 one of the most daunting undertakings I’ve ever faced, but I also said, “The best way to describe Europa Universalis V is ‘enormous,’ ‘grand,’ and ‘complex’—all the things I expect when playing a grand strategy game”.
